Cracked laptop screen

I cracked my laptop's screen yesterday and after some shopping around found the prices between replacing the whole top half and just the screen don't differ in price that much (25ish dollars). Just wondering which option i should take would it be much easier replacing the whole top half including case and all?

If you can replace the monitor for $25, then for sure I would get it fixed.Otherwise, a quick fix would be to plug your laptop to a normal desktop monitor or TV (that's if your laptop has a VGA port) Cracked laptop screen
Nah i can get a new screen for around 200ish i was just wondering if it would be easier to replace the whole top half: Whole Top
