hard time with explorer.exe ............ ...

Ok........this morning my pc started acting all weird....I turned it on, clicked on my profile and waited, and nothing came up........just my wallpaper......I brought up the task manager and I saw that explorer.exe wasnt there so I started a new task and ran it......it worked for about 10 secs and then it just went back to my wallpaper......the taskbar is gone along with myu icons so I can't start anything unless I use the task manager, I ran avg and spywareterminator and a couple of virus came up and i got rid of them and restarted my pc, when my pc came back on, nothing changed....is there aything I can do to fix this problem?!?!?!?hard time with explorer.exe ............ ...

As I mentioned in the PM, try using a system restore. Seem like some system files got damaged.
I tried doing a System restore, and that didn't work........anyone pls!?!!?!?!?!?!?
Try using the repair Windows function on the windows disk. Also, you don't need to bump after 10 minutes. If it falls off the first page, than thats ok.

I had this once and had to eventually reinstall Windows.. it wasn't fun.

When you boot off of the Windows disk, there is an option that allows you to Repair Windows (usually one of the first options), while keeping all of your settings and such.

If you tried a system restore and it didn't work, then it would seem, like Dirk said above that some system files were damaged, and SR has those damaged files archived. If that's the case, than yes, it is the only way.
