this part of my motherboard smoked. nothing else is fried none of the capacitors are fried on the rest of the mobo. nothing else should be hurt that was plugged into the mobo on startup right?

i had everything plugged in and started it up and it smoked right there nothing else shorted though.
im taking the motherboard back for defection but i want to know what everyone else thinks about the situation... are my components safe? is the motherboard really defected? thoughts?Motherboard Fried
That happend to me. Mobo's that usually do that are usually just defected to begin with. I'd get a replacement or get your money back and try elsewhere.
