So i bought Battlefield 2142 today and it installed fine and after getitng really fustrated with EA's registration and EA Master account nonsesne, I decided it was time to cap some foos in the future. So I load a multiplayeer game up and first!!! all i hear is choppy audio with no video, i reboot and try again, this time i see the soldier louadout menu and the battle waging behind it but my mouse cursor no longer moves nor do any key presses work for the game (crt-alt-del still worked as did alt-tab).
I also bought Neverwinter Nights Diamond pack and this installed fine but when i got to the main menu all I could see was my mouse cursor but no menu, yet i could hear the audio in the background.
This is realyl fustrating me and I have no clue what to do anymore. I did a clean reformat about a week ago, though i think my CPU and memory are getting old and fried out since ive been overclocking them for years now :- Any advice?

I think you might want to post your specs first. My computer doesn't like me anymore :(
Uhhh...maybe try updating drivers?
My motherboard I remember right when I got it had a faulty ethernet port, but i was too lazy to return it so I just put in a spare PCI ethernet card I had. Could my motherboard be the issue? Games have been working fine until a week ago when i did a clean reformat then it all started working fine again. UGH!!!
Im thinking of just buying some new memory, gskill 2gb cl 4, and a new mobo and cpu, core 2 duo e6600
Uhhh...maybe try updating drivers?
that was the first thing i did, also I have patched the games.
Any chance you recently installed Vista? If not, then I suggest doing a system restore, if it still doesn't work then then it must have something to do your hardware.
No I have not touched Vista yet, though I was thinking of getting Vista Ultimate 64 bit if i needed to change my hardware or reformat again. Dual boot it with xp and ubuntu 64
