I switched over to firefox a few months ago and now have to wipe out my computer. Is there any way to save my favorites like Internet Explorer? are they in a file somewhere?Question about firefox.
yes you can save the whole favorites file, the way i do it is you have to have folder options set to show all hidden files and folders, then go to your hard drive>go to documents and settings>then your user>Application Data>mozilla>firefox>profiles>next folder should have a jumble of numbers and letters and .default. once in that folder, find the bookmarks file and save it so where else you want it.once you have reinstalled it, just put the bookmarks file right back in that folder and everything will be as it was.just to save it, you could run a search for it, but, youll still want to place it back in there once firefox is reinstalled.Question about firefox.
Thanks :) will try it out.
Open your FireFox browser, go to Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks>File>Export . Then you can save your bookmarks as a single htm file, where ever you want. Go to Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks>File>Import to reinstall them to firefox when you're done with the reload...just remember to keep the htm file on a different HDD, or removable media prior to the reload... :P
