You using 3dmark06 on Vista?
that's weird I got 5190 on my pentium D, 1 gb ram, x1950xt. You should be getting waaay more.

I think my previous driver installation was broken, because for the nvidia control panel (the new one) I didn't even have the 3d settings menu. I reinstalled the driver and I'll try it again.I'm running it on winxp 32 bit home edition. 1280*1024By the way, what kind of settings did they run the program on? Like image quality settings in the control panel. And did they use the pro version? Because I had to skip a lot of tests because I used the free edition. Do doing more tests directly add those scores to your mark?
With that kind of setup, you should get pretty close to 10k without OCing both CPU and GPU. Maybe because you didn't change the image quality settings to Application Controled and set to High performance.
I have almost identical specs, instead of the 8800GTX I have a 8800GTS 320mb, I got 8.3k with all stock and 9.3 when i overclocked my video card. You should be getting more than an Oc磀 GTS check your drivers are up to date.

My motherboard didn't say anything about any driver that's required for performance, just stuff like enabling the onbard soundcard, usb control etc...I got 7525 on the third run, I don't know what's wrong.

well i have an e6600 with 2 gigs of ram, and a 8800gts, at first i was gettin scores of around 5000, which i lknew were not where i should be, so i went into bios and upped the vcore, and a few other things,, tried 3dmark again and i got around 12,000 score,, perhaps try that???also, run memtest, to see if ur memory is slacking, and try prime 86, let it run to determine whats the problem,i have a feeling the psu isnt giving enough power to your graphics card.
what? Upping the voltage helped? How would it? If there wasnt enough power going to the GPU, nvidia would alert him and lower the clock speeds
This sounds like a Vista/Driver issue to me.
This sounds like a Vista/Driver issue to me.
hes on XP 32bit
I use Winxp 32 bit. Power is no problem because I'm using a 600W supply.I'll run PC mark and see what I get.
