DirectX 9.0

I got Adobe after Effects 6.5 Pro and I tried it out. When I put a movie on it it was cut down to only the first ten seconds. Also there was no sound whatsoever. Do you think I need DirectX 9.0? bOr do you think it's something else. Because when I export it back to windows movie maker it is still ten seconds but there is sound again.DirectX 9.0
I'd rather recommend installing additional codecs instead of DX 9. You can get the K-Lite Codec Pack hereDirectX 9.0
Which should i download?

I'll probably try both. Thanks alot.
I heard that the CCCP was used for playing anime though.
Thanks all!
They didn't work. Any other suggestions?
Aren't you already running DirectX 9? update it to DirectX 9c!To check which version you're running, type dxdiag in the Run window (Start->run) and on th bottom it tells you want version you're running. If still no dice, check what encoder was used for the video (divx, h264, ogg, mkv, etc)
It says I have 9.0c.
Now it's good but now it says OpenGL Problem when I try to do something.
