Can't see my new harddrive in my OS?

Ok, I just got a new hard drive, 320gb to go along with my 150gb. I plugged it in to my motherboard in the slave slot (both of them are sata). In bios when I go into the storage devices options I have...ATA mode enabled>Pata emulation. or something of the sort. when I go to my computer I can see my old 150 but not the 320. when I go into device manager I can see it in there, and everest recognizes it also so I don't know why I can't see it in my computer. Can't see my new harddrive in my OS?
Did you create a volume and format it? Windows explorer does not see ''drives'' per se, but rather it sees volumes (partitioned whole or part of a drive that is formatted). If it's not formatted, just format it and it'll come up in windows explorer.

Under XP pro (not sure about home), go Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management. Then click Disk Management, find your new drive in the list, right click it, and select format.
