Intel Driver question

For my gigabyte motherboard, there is theInf update utilityMicrosoft UAA Bus driver for high definition audiointel ich7/ich8 usb 2.0 driverGigabyte Sata and Raid driverWhich ones are for what? And are they needed? So far the computer is running fine without them. I installed the intel usb driver, then the usb mouse stopped working. So what do they do exactly? Aren't most of the stuff plug-n-play already? And I remember with my former computers there used to be aGART drier forall ofthe motherboards, but it's not mentioned anymore. Is the GART driver still needed?ThanksIntel Driver question
The first is a general update utility

The second one is for your built-in sound

The third one is for your USB ports

And the last one is the SATA and RAID drivers for detecting and using SATA drivers and running them in RAID mode respectively.

Depends on whether you use the sound/USB/SATA ports if you need to install them or not.
