So guys the questions are that.I am wanting to upgrade my comp but im not sure if the things i want are compatible with my motherboard. First thing is that i want to get a new graphics card mabye the 8800GTX :D and i also i would like to get the core 2 duo extreme but main thing is that i'm not sure if that proccecer is compatible with my motherboard how can i find out.Please help me i will be very gratfull. here are some of my system specs if you wish to see my DXDIAG just ask.Intel pentium 4 CPU 3.06GHz 1023Mb of RAM32-bit Operating systemwindows vista home premiumDx10Needing help please !

It would help if you told us what motherboard you have...
You can use Everest, PC Wizard, Belarc Advisor or various other PC analysis software for that.
And if you can find your motherboard manual, you can see in the tech. specs. section what CPU's get supported by the motherboard.

You would get a bottleneck effect. The P4 would work with it, but it just won't be powerfull enough to process and handle all the data that the videocard generates.
