Question on cards for vista

For vista for any games that I play do I need a dx10 capable card to play anything? because i;m using an x1600 and reciving flickering,errors anf framerate problemsQuestion on cards for vista

Nope.Try with a different driver. If that doesn't help, your card may be faulty.

Vista should work fine with that card. Do you get flickering errors when you are playing games only, or when you are trying to play video files as well? There is a known issue with 1650's playing videos and stuff like that that ATI is working on, but I'm not sure if that applies to the 1600 as well. It might.
it happens during games only but when I use media player it happens sometimes for like a quick second on videos
